Bakersfield Club Zion is a Christian ministry, formed in 2000, that mentors individuals in college and post college, and provides college scholarships to deserving students in Kern County. Since 2000, over $250,000 in scholarships have been distributed. Many qualified students are unable to foot the bill for a college education, the average cost of a private, four-year college is well over $20,000 per academic year. The purpose of our Scholarship Fund is to make educational funds, however minimal, available to financially needy students to help defray the cost of a college education. And, we provide spiritual help along the way, too.

Students that we have supported have attended colleges such as: Bakersfield College, CSUB, Azusa Pacific, Biola, Vanguard University, Fresno Pacific, Cal Poly San Luis Obisbo and more. If you are seeking an additional scholarship for college, are secure in a local church and you are from the Kern County area, just e-mail us to see if you qualify.
