Applying to college and trying to find the money to go can be a little overwhelming...especially if you don't know where to start. Your school counselor can be of great help, and we are here to provide additional support to those students that need help. No matter if you are a freshman or a senior in high school, or if you've already graduated from high school, if you want to start planning for college, we can help.

Together we can sit down and come up with an education plan that will enable you to attend the college that is perfect for you and we'll help you find scholarships that will ease the financial burden on you and your family. Club Zion becomes a "shepherd" for the student, making sure that the path is clear. We'll help you find a major, school that is appropriate for that major, help select housing, visit schools and more.

SCHOLARSHIPS*

Club Zion Scholarships are more than just free money for college. We provide the spiritual and emotional support needed to get through college. In order to best support our students we maintain contact with them during their college education through visits, emails and phone calls. Students are also required to submit their grades every quarter or semester to ensure that they are meeting the scholarship requirements. Church involvement is important for all college students and it is a requirement to maintain a Club Zion scholarship. We want our students to not only grow academically but also spiritually.

Since 2000, we've given over $200,000 in scholarships to deserving students. There are three scholarships available and are only available to students in the Kern County area. The amount of scholarship money given to each student is determined by the cost of tuition and the amount of financial aid and scholarship money received from other sources, and the scholarships are renewable.

JOSEPH & ESTHER 4-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP: Available to first generational college students who desire to keep God first in their life and are attending a 4-year University or College.

JOSEPH & ESTHER TRANSFER: Specifically for Bakersfield College students who desire to keep God first in life and are transferring to a 4-year University or College.
